Jill Burzynski, Board Certified Elder Law Attorney

JillJill Burzynski, originally from St. Louis, received her Bachelor of Science of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis in 1984.  She received her Juris Doctor from Emory University Law School in 1987.  She was elected by the Collier County Bar Association to serve on its Board of Directors in 1995 and served as President of the Bar Association in 2002-2003.  In 1998 she won the Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit and was honored at the Florida Supreme Court.  In 1998 she was named Woman Lawyer of the Year for Collier County.  She is the founder and the first President of the Legal Aid Society of Collier County.  A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, she has chaired the Collier County Bar Association Public Guardianship Committee and was instrumental in initiating the Public Guardianship Program in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit.  She served on the Florida Bar Probate  Rules Committee and is on the board of directors of the Area Agency on Aging. She is the Membership Chair-person for the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association and is one of the founding members of the Florida Bar Elder Law Section's Residents' Rights Committee. She is the only Board Certified Elder Law Attorney in Collier County.

She enjoys painting pottery, water-skiing, yoga and kayaking.  She is married to Daniel Burzynski and has two children, Jason and Kate.
